Yay, yay yay!

Yay for today! :)

This week my mama and I booked our AMAZING photographer, Jennifer Disney. I am SO excited to have her take our pictures! All of her pictures look like they are dipped in magic! It's so great.

Yesterday Skylar and I narrowed down our invitation choices to two and just have to choose which ones we want :) ALSO! We found this rockin deal on packages in Ireland!! So PLEASE pray that we get to go to Ireland for our honeymoon, that will be AMAZING!!!! :)

Today my mama, Jeanne Dwan, and I headed over to the reception site to finalize details about decorations, talk about lighting, and all of the table decor. Then we bought some pieces for decorations, bridesmaids gifts, and booked DJ's!

Tomorrow we get to meet with DJ's and hopefully choose our invites!

Planning a wedding is very fun :)

  1. I'm glad you're having fun with the planning. Get it ALL done ahead of time (like two weeks before the Big Day) and keep a laid-back attitude when things don't go perfectly. It is sooo not worth stressing about. I am so happy for you and Skylar! Keep having fun during this process :-)

  4. Kayla - the "big thing" that went wrong was that someone forgot to get communion for us. Our wedding coordinator was freaking out and ready to delay the wedding (it would have taken about 15-20 extra minutes to start). We were like, "Forget that! What else do we have to use?"

We took communion with a half-eaten roll that my pregnant bridesmaid had and a Starbucks cup with water that another bridesmaid had. We figured Jesus would understand ;-) It could have been a big deal, but we didn't let it bother us. In fact, it's one of our favorite stories from the wedding!

Let those things that go "wrong" just be another unique memory for your wedding. After all, things go wrong in life and you'll have to deal with that as a couple - why should your wedding day be any different? ;-)
